Magical Stay at Dream Sea, Uluwatu, Bali

“There is no similar trip to another, but the deep inner journey to your most secret destination. A beautiful self-exercise of trust, tolerance and acceptance, the beginning of a new way of seeing things. Bali is a magical place, full of wild spirits wandering among sacred temples, behind tropical jungles, little eyes hiding among the rice fields.

A blue ocean waiting for you to dive into it with your dreamer soul.

There is no better way to get to know this place by getting lost and then

finding yourself in it”

When you come to Bali, you absolutely must plan a stay at DreamSea Uluwatu .

Nestled in the cliff side, away from the main road, very steep climb down, this 22 room guesthouse overlooking Padang-Padang beach is one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed at.

First, what makes it so special is that it’s stunning yet not pretentious. It is not a luxury accommodation and despite the most incredible location – is not for the ‘rich and faint-hearted’ – you can't pay anyone for a VIP service and escort- you have to climb down the gigantic steps yourself - there is a certain level of sweaty discomfort you have to be comfortable with in order to get to, from and around the place.

Dream Sea is built of bamboo, assuring that even with your windows closed- you will be surrounded by the sound of the ocean waves crushing. So close to it, almost as if you’re part of it.

This also means that walls are paper-thin and not sound-proof. Please keep that in mind and don’t be grudged by the conversations next door. It’s not a place for Netflix marathon, and late-night calls with friends and family.

Dream Sea team reminds the guests to be quite and respectful.

Every room is uniquely decorated with A lot of attention to detail. No sight of generic plastic wardrobes, or big flashy details- Dream Sea rooms are equipped with beautiful, unique furniture that’s all made in Indonesia, natural materials and colors are used in bed-linen, decorative cushions and little details. No room is the same but they all share a common welcoming ambience, a sense of lightness. Cozy and comfortable.

Green plants and vibrant rugs in the rooms introduce a contrast to remind guests of the surrounding savage green rainforest and incredible pink-sky sunsets on the horizon of this beautiful part of Bali. The sounds of the splashing waves is another reminder of how close to the nature you actually are.

Did you ever got completely lost scrolling through Pinterest boards saving your dream home or an incredibly dreamy holiday locations? DreamSea is like from a Pinterest board.

You have the option to book a suite (price around 90-100eur) or if the budget is tight, 25eur gets you a bed in a shared (hostel type) room – regardless of the room type- everyone shares that same stunning view, windows hanging from the cliffs.

Breakfast is included, and you can choose anything from their menu, which is a great advantage given the steep steps you’d have to take for a morning-dose of caffeine.

Café also serves all day lunch and dinner, so really – there is no need to leave this dreamy property.

There is a small beach that is almost always very private.

Also, once a day yoga and of course- surf! From your room straight into the water!

No judgement if you want to spend your days lounging in hammock, enjoying the fresh salt-water breeze and chilled coconut.

Once you make it down there, stay, just for a day or two leaving the world behind.

For anyone doing work online- there is still a reasonable wifi enough to send emails, browse web and shut down your computer.

Instagrammers- take your shots. Your followers will be in absolute awe, once you finally decide to post them, but don’t hurry. Sink into that hammock for another afternoon nap.

Without further duo, it’s time to check in at Dream Sea Uluwatu.

DreamSea has also recently opened a new location in Canggu, so check it out, and make sure to book your stay- the sooner the better.
